When it comes to the abstract expression of music, the desires for unity are clearly affirmed by the organization directors. "We hope this exhibit inspires and uplifts those who see it. Music connects us all and it is the soul of Asbury Park, Where Music Lives" said Executive Director, Susan Pellegrini.
The exhibit will also include a mural entitled, "Drumming" created by students in the Sound Healing class at the Boys & Girls Club. The Sound Healing program is designed to develop relaxation and concentration employing the power of sound and vibration. The course is a part of the Foundation's Youth Music Initiative and is taught by Anya Castellano and Susan Pellegrini. The objective of the Youth Music Initiative is to encourage and expand the horizons of our youth fostering positive, comprehensive future options.
The mission of the Asbury Park Music Foundation is to promote Asbury Park's rich musical heritage, past, present and future creating a thriving, vibrant city Where Music Lives. For more information on the Foundation vist http://www.asburyparkmusiclives.org
