Monmouth Arts Is Raising Money For Move To New Offices

originally published: 08/22/2014
(RED BANK, NJ) -- Monmouth Arts, the official agency dedicated to fostering the arts in Monmouth County, is moving to a new storefront space next to the Count Basie Theater. They are currently running a crowdfunding campaign on IndieGoGo.comto help raise funds for the moving expenses. The campaign will end on September 7th. As of August 22, the organization has raised $1,670 of their $2,500 goal or 67% of what they need.

The work done by Monmouth Arts ranges from arts education, support of the arts community, grants, creative place-making, marketing, special events and more. We connect artists, arts organization and art lovers across the county for enriching experiences – for all ages. If you love the arts and love Monmouth County, this is where they come together. For more information visit http://www.monmoutharts.org

According to the campaign page:

In just a few short weeks, we will be opening the doors to an exciting storefront space next to Count Basie Theater. This will make it that much easier for us to connect arts and the community... because we will be open to the community and so much easier to find!

What We Need & What You Get
Our biggest challenge? MOVING IS EXPENSIVE! Between wiring an office, paying for the labor involved in painting, boxing up 40 years of work and the move itself, we will need funds to cover our move downstairs. We want to be as efficient as possible, so we can still spend our money where it's needed most-on fostering and supporting artists and arts groups.

This is where YOU come in! Are you an artist yourself, or a part of an arts group? Have you enjoyed some of the amazing arts programming we have available here in Monmouth County? Maybe you've worked with us at our Monmouth Teen Arts Festival, or the annual ArtEd Awards (impacting 2,000 + students around the county).

Last year, Monmouth Arts contributed to 2,550 arts activities that involved 762,400 individuals and artists from Monmouth County and beyond. With our new, more public space, we are hoping to get even more people involved! Will you help us get there?

We have some fun perks planned to welcome you into our great new space. From a continental breakfast, to a special VIP reception and free tickets to our events... our perks are all there to thank our supporters and welcome you as friends!

The Impact
Your donation will go even further with an incredible opportunity we have been presented with. A generous board member is willing to match up to $2,500 in donations for this campaign. This is exciting, because it will double your gift! $5 becomes $10, $20 becomes $40 and $500 becomes $1,000.

Risks & Challenges
As we said above, our main challenge is that moving is expensive! Well... that, and decluttering 40 years of work before packing it (but you can't help us much there)! Every dollar given to this campaign will help us with the end goal of being able to welcome you to our new space... where community and arts connect.

Other Ways You Can Help
Please share this with your circle of friends and colleagues. You know us from our years of work in the community, and now we really need your help in spreading the word!
