Meghan’s Foundation’s First Annual Vino & Vinyasa At Crossing Vineyards

(NEWTOWN, PA) -- Meghan’s Foundation’s First Annual Vino & Vinyasa will be held on Sunday, April 23rd from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Crossing Vineyards and Winery located on 1853 Wrightstown Road, Newtown, PA. Admission is $49 for adults 21 and older. Space is limited.

Beginning at 11:00am the event will include a 45 minute all-levels vinyasa session. Following the class, participants will be guided through a wine tasting featuring 8 wines and an individual plate of assorted cheeses, cured meats and a chocolate truffle. In our last hour, we will host a silent auction along with passed wine and live acoustic music. Tito's Handmade Vodka will match all donations, dollar for dollar, up to $5000!

“Our mission is to raise awareness and support for veterans and active-duty military who may be experiencing symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). We do this by developing free, trauma-sensitive programs of yoga and meditation for military, veterans, and their spouses or partners” says CEO and Co-Founder Thom Shortt. “We are hoping that this event provides a platform to spread awareness and support for our veterans and active-duty military who are in need.”

Since 2012, the veterans who have attended the foundation’s free yoga and meditation classes include men and women with ages ranging from their 20s through their 70s. These veterans report that they are experiencing better sleep and concentration, the ability to find calm when presented with challenging situations, and generally an improved quality of life.

All proceeds from Vino and Vinyasa at Crossing Vineyards will go towards the Meghan Wilent (Shortt) Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. For tickets and further information about the foundation, please visit www.meghansfoundation.org/vino-vinyasa-2017/
