Central Jersey rockers Jaded Past's continue a stream of singles with the release of their cover of The Cars’ 1978 classic, “Bye Bye Love,” the Makin Waves Song of the Week. The single is the band's fifth in a little more than a year following 2016's sophomore LP, "Believe," on Melodic Rock Records and a 2012 self-titled, self-released full-length debut. Check it out:
As the Makin Waves Song of the Week, “Bye Bye Love” also can be heard at 5 and 11 a.m., 5 p.m. and midnight through Thursday at thepenguinrocks.com, as well as 6:45 p.m. today and Monday on its “Radio Jersey” show,
“‘Bye Bye Love’ has been a staple in our live show since 2017 and a fan favorite so it was fitting to give it a shot in the studio,” founding Jaded Past vocalist-guitarist George Becker said.
George is a longtime fixture within the New Jersey music scene. With Jaded Past, he has toured or opened for Hookers n Blow, Ace Frehley, Sebastian Bach, L.A. Guns, Faster Pussycat, Trixter, and Kix.
The band’s lineup also includes Pete Fry on lead guitar, Lou Sabatino on bass, Pete Giordano on drums. Their next LP will be a live outing, George said, supported by what they hope will be a U.S. and European tour.
