Madison Taylor Releases "Destined"

originally published: 01/06/2021

Indie singer-songwriter Madison Taylor released a music video for "Destined" on January 2, 2021.  Directed by Elizabeth Smith and produced by Toby Moon Productions (a video production company based in Oak Ridge), it is her first music video.  The song is from her "Evergreen" EP.

In the video, Madison portrays a lady frolicking on a beach like a gleeful princess, joyfully reflecting on the relationship she’s in. In the narrative, she eventually meets up with her boyfriend at their favorite place where he proposes to her; thus a happy ending concluding that he is the one she’s “destined to be with” after all.

Born and raised in North Jersey where the sloping highlands and rural valleys intersect, Madison Taylor's love of the outdoors blended with her romantic songwriting to produce her first EP "Evergreen." While attending Liberty University's School of Music, she worked with Corey Pavlosky at Pipe Dream Studios in Williamsburg to record her six original songs. Her songwriting is influenced by the mysticism of Celtic art, the raw honesty of old country music, and the emphasis on emotion and nature that is indicative of the Romantic Era.

William Wordsworth once said that poetry should begin as "the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings" which the poet then "recollect[s] in tranquility"; Madison Taylor has the same outlook toward her musical poetry. To date, she has built up a following of over a thousand fans through her EP release in 2020 and "Destined" music video release in 2021.  As she continues the songwriting process for her next EP (or potential album), she plans on filming another music video with Toby Moon Productions and is excited for what the future holds.
