(BELMAR, NJ) -- New Jersey Stage magazine Issue 47 has been released. The issue features Jersey artist Stacie Rose as its cover story and contains a mix of film, music, and theatre features. It is available for free at www.NJArtsMag.com
Issue 47 has a heavy focus on films. The issue contains reviews of How to Talk To Girls At Parties, On Chesil Beach, and Hearts Beat Loud. There is an interview with the director and producer of Bullitt County and a feature on When I Sing - a film that tells the story of Linda Chorney, an indie musician who earned a Grammy nomination after 30 years of performing around the world. In addition, the issue contains a preview of the New Jersey International Film Festival complete with trailers for the feature films.
Music wise, the cover story takes you inside the life of Stacie Rose - both artistically and personally. Several tracks from her new album are included as well as highlights from throughout her career, including early music videos. The issue also contains an interview with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Richie Furay who founded Buffalo Springfield and was a huge part of POCO and The Souther-Hillman-Furay Band as well. Jersey/Irish artist Helen O'Shea is also interviewed in the issue. The featured music video of the month is "Me and Leslie" by Karen Mansfield and additional music videos are shown in the latest episode of Bongo Boy TV. Rosemary Conte provides her monthly column, Inside Music, as well.
Theatre fans will enjoy our feature on The Eleventh Hour!, a new musical by New Brunswick native David Seamon that is on stage in New York City right now. The play involves the end of the world, the New Jersey Turnpike, and a basement in New Brunswick. We've also got our monthly theatre preview with a look at plays coming to stages throughout the Garden State in June.
"New Jersey Stage is a digital magazine that is designed like a traditional publication, but with pages that come alive with audio, video, and links," explained Gary Wien, publisher of New Jersey Stage. "It's kind of like the combination of the internet and a magazine. It's not a website. It's not a blog. It's a magazine with the best features of the Internet included. With NJ Stage Magazine, you don't just read about an artist - you get to see and hear their work! It's the next generation of arts coverage!"
New Jersey Stage magazine is published monthly and is readable on any PC, tablet, or smartphone. Issues are available for free at www.NJArtsMag.com. Back issues of the magazine are available at the website as well.
