Eli Seeney Releases "New Day: The Album"

originally published: 01/12/2020

(WOODBURY, NJ)  -- Jersey Hip-Hop artist Eli Seeney has officially announced his return to the fray, bringing a signature sound to fans with the release of his long-awaited debut, titled New Day: The Album. The full-length project is a follow-up to 2016’s NEW DAY EP and was released on December 26th, 2019.

New Day: The Album as a culmination of an extensive creative process that spanned from Eli's home studio in southern New Jersey all the way to the Roots Studio in Philly and Platinum Sound Recording studio in New York City. Primary recording and mixing responsibilities were overseen by Eli's longtime producer and engineer Eddro Jersey, who also served as the album's Executive Producer. Eddro is joined in production duties by super-producers The Tucker Brothers, (Big Sean, “Overtime”) and the multi-talented Lester London. Philly's JuicedUp Beats and Jersey’s own Jerz-E-Ric, Relli Catone, Jodell Playmaker, and Pauly Gerbz also helped lay the musical foundation for the project.

New Day: The Album is composed of 13 tracks that range from true classic Hip-Hop vibes like on the crowd-favorite titular track “New Day," to the crossover smash "Careful What You Wish For,” and “Pretty Little Hate Machine,” a genre-bending electric guitar-driven trap banger produced by Eddro with a contribution from Guitarist Colby Givin.

While each song varies in tone, they all are originals and circle back to one universal theme. “New Day: The Album is a soulful collection of reminders that no matter what you are in life there's always another page to turn” says Eli himself. The new project includes “Holy Ghost”, a Hip-Hop ballad featuring the angelic vocals of Majii (FKA Marrissa Joy) and M11son (FKA Got Mason) with Eli’s own cousin Longevity providing the sounds. Also featuring on the album are Philly Hip-Hop mainstay Nico the Beast, head of the underground rap super-group 30 and Over League, and Shirley Green frontwoman Alixe Rheeve who blesses the album with her sultry vocals.

Eli Seeney began his music journey in 2013, and has since risen to prominence in his native South Jersey and nearby Philadelphia, as well as various international markets. His sound is classic Hip-Hop that blends contemporary vibes with the multiple genres by which he’s influenced, and his complex lyricism reflects a genius that led him to Yale University and beyond. In 2016 Eli dropped his first project NEW DAY EP, which he spent most of 2017 promoting and performing throughout New Jersey and Philadelphia, opening for the likes of Black Moon, Camp Lo, The LOX, and Griselda Records along the way.
