Count Basie Theatre Adds 7 New Board Members

(RED BANK, NJ) The Count Basie Theatre, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, has announced the election of seven new members to its boards of trustees and directors.  The new members include Maureen and Steven Van Zandt (entertainers), Sarah Bradley (Partner Kainos Capital), Robert Chandler (marketing and communications professional), Jeremy Grunin (Grunin Foundation Director, Invest and Manager, Grunin Properties), Mario Monello (Chairman, River Capital Group), and Peter T. Roselle (Owner/President, Meadowbrook Industries, Waste Industries and Regional Industries).

"This is a very exciting time for the Count Basie Theatre,” remarked Tom Widener, chairman of the theatre’s Board of Trustees & Directors. “We are delighted to welcome this outstanding group of people to the Basie boards, and are confident that they will have a very positive impact on the Basie, and the communities that we work hard to serve.”

New board member Maureen Van Zandt added, “Steven and I are proud and honored to join the Count Basie Theatre's Board of Directors and to support the wonderful and important work they do to keep the performing arts alive."

“I am honored to be invited to join the board of one of the premier entertainment destinations at the Jersey Shore,” Jeremy Grunin added. “I am also excited to be the first to represent Ocean County and look forward to being able to help share artistic endeavors between Ocean and Monmouth.”

“Our Board of Trustees is dedicated to making The Count Basie Theatre a premier regional center for the performing arts,” said Beth Giannotto, chair of the Basie’s Board Cultivation committee. “We’ve assembled an amazing group of community leaders who recognize the critical role the arts play in keeping our community, economy and our educational systems healthy. Our legacy will be the creation of a nucleus for artistic expression for our children and for many generations to come.”
