Javier Robles is a New Jersey-based photographer and artist who acquired a C5 spinal cord injury and quadriplegia as a teenager. In addition to creating artwork, Mr. Robles has worked in disability services for over 20 years. Mr. Robles currently advocates for others through his Twitter handle @thisabled.
Matt Tucker doesn't let his rare bone condition called Osteogenesis Imperfecta stop him from pursuing his passion for the arts. Anthony Zaremba, a graduate of the School of Visual Arts, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1984. With determination and a vision to pursue his love of art, he retrained himself to paint with his left hand. Hannah Fanelli is a visual artist and a performer. Ms. Fanelli performed in several lauded Theatre in Motion music videos that utilize non-traditional casting and showcases artists with and without disabilities in the genre of musical theatre. Ms. Fanelli's visual art has been featured in New York City's Central Park and throughout New Jersey.
News Voices 2014 features 120 of the of the region's most talented young performing artists from Paper Mill Playhouse's Summer Musical Theatre Conservatory in a fully produced, original concert on the Paper Mill mainstage titled Oh, What a Night! Members of the competitive Conservatory who earned coveted spots in the Senior, Junior Plus, and Junior Companies (ages 10-18) are directed and choreographed by Paper Mill Playhouse's professional artistic staff in this concert which is the culmination of the five-week program. Also appearing are numerous winners and nominees of the 2014 Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards who won scholarships to attend the Conservatory.
