(Princeton, N.J.) — On Friday, November 4, 2016 at 5:15pm, American Repertory Ballet will host a free lecture, “Dancer Nutrition,” as part of its On Pointe Enrichment Series. Nutritionist Annie Condit Princeton Healthcare Systems will join ARB Artistic Director Douglas Martin and Princeton Ballet School Dean of Students Lisa de Ravel to discuss proper nutrition for athletes and dancers - for adults and for children who are still growing as they lead an active lifestyle.
Being physically fit takes more than spending hours in the studio or gym. Find out from Princeton Healthcare Systems Nutritionist Annie Condit how to eat healthily and the impact it has on perfecting your craft.
ARB launched On Pointe in October 2010 as part of the organization’s larger strategy to make ballet more accessible to the community. On Pointe allows the community to interact with the acclaimed artists and collaborators involved with ARB in an intimate setting. Through On Pointe, company blogs, online resources, and other Access & Enrichment initiatives, ARB aims to build dance enthusiasts and nurture appreciation for the art form as a whole.
Held at Princeton Ballet School’s studios in Princeton, ARB brings guest speakers, lecture demonstrations, company performance previews, and panel discussions to seasoned dance enthusiasts and new students alike.
The Princeton studio, also designed by Ralph Lerner, is located in Princeton Shopping Center. It features four studios and includes a dance library. It is located at 301 N. Harrison Street in Princeton, NJ.
