Premiere Stages To Present Free Readings Of Nicole Pandolfo's "Brick City"

(UNION, NJ) -- Premiere Stages at Kean University will present three free readings of Nicole Pandolfo’s Brick City, a recipient of the 2017 NJPAC Stage Exchange Commission, October 20th through 22nd in the Miron Student Center Little Theatre at Kean University. In this topical and compelling new play, worlds collide inside a failing Newark public school.


"A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder" Comes To Mayo Performing Arts Center

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- The Tony® Award winner for Best Musical, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder, will play at Mayo Performing Arts Center for two performances on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 3:00pm and 8:00pm. Gentleman’s Guide tells the uproarious story of Monty Navarro, a distant heir to a family fortune who sets out to jump the line of succession by any means necessary.  Tickets range from $49 to $89.

Live At The Fillmore Will Fill The Strand With Sounds Of The Allman Brothers

(LAKEWOOD, NJ) -- The recent passings of Gregg Allman and Butch Trucks have led many music fans put on their old vinyl records by The Allman Brothers.  Fans can experience those songs on stage again when Live At The Fillmore comes to The Strand Theater in Lakewood on Saturday, November 4 at 8:00pm.  Billed as the world's greatest tribute to the Allman Brothers Band, tickets range from $25 to $40.


Bobby Bandiera To Pay Tribute To Tom Petty At The Count Basie Theatre

(RED BANK, NJ) -- Fans mourning the loss of Tom Petty can enjoy a night of his music when Bobby Bandiera presents "Runnin' Down a Dream: A Tribute to Tom Petty" at the Count Basie Theatre on Sunday, November 5.  Tickets range from $29 to $49; a special meet & greet with Bobby Bandiera is available for $99.


The Lizzie Rose Music Room Presents Coco Montoya on Sunday

(TUCKERTON, NJ) -- The Lizzie Rose Music Room presents Coco Montoya on Sunday, October 8 at 7:30pm.The old Willie Dixon adage, "blues is truth," perfectly describes the searing, contemporary blues-rock of world-renowned guitarist and vocalist Coco Montoya. Norman Taylor is the opening act. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the show.

"Families Like Yours" To Screen At State Theatre New Jersey

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey, in partnership with Bristol-Myers Squibb and the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), will present a screening of Families Like Yours, a powerful documentary exploring the love, compassion, sacrifice, and success of LGBT families in America on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 7:00pm. This event is a free ticketed film with general admission seating.

The Art of Sound presents "The Gathering" by Miguel Osorio in Lambertville

(LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Lambertville’s underground cultural supporter, The Art of Sound presents "The Gathering" by Miguel Osorio on October 18th and 20th. This is a unique, yet relative exhibition that visually explores the diversity of our society through Osorio’s artistic interpretation.  It consists of Osorio’s vast collection, artwork personally selected by the artist, spanning over the past 25 years.


Monmouth County Park System Seeks Photography For Deep Cut Gardens Exhibit

(MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- Calling all photographers! The Monmouth County Park System is looking for entries for its photography exhibit to be held at Deep Cut Gardens, Middletown.  This year’s theme is Deep Cut Gardens from the Ordinary to the Extraordinary.  Professional and amateur photographers of all ages are invited to submit images for consideration into the show. Entry categories include youth (under age 18), amateur adult, and professional adult. Each category will have a first, second and third place photograph. A best in show will also be awarded. Eleven honorable mentions will be selected in total from all categories.
