One River School of Art + Design Announces Plans For 2nd Location

One River School of Art + Design Announces Plans For 2nd Location(ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- One River School of Art + Design has announced its plan to open a second school in late summer at 319 Franklin Turnpike in Allendale, NJ. The new address will give the company a second Bergen County location some 15 miles northwest of the original school in Englewood, which opened in 2012. One River School is pioneering the most innovative new art school concept in America, and has established a groundbreaking new direction in art education in the suburban shadow of New York City.

“We are so excited to bring our amazing program to the western part of Bergen County,” says Matt Ross, Founder of One River School. Ross, a creative education pioneer, previously built the largest network of music schools in the world as Founding CEO of School of Rock. “We have taught over 2,000 people in a short time in Englewood. However, convenience is so important to our customer base that we decided to extend our reach in Bergen County and connect with new communities in need of inspirational art programs.”

While he prepares to open the Allendale school, Ross is in comprehensive discussions with business partners throughout the United States to open One River School locations. Says Ross: “We have developed a thoughtful franchise model which allows art lovers to be the voice for cool arts education near their homes via our One River School concept”

Ross conceived and piloted the One River School franchising program by establishing a brand that targets franchise partners with a passion for visual arts, and a desire to bring cool cultural programs to their community. The program has been built from the ground up with proprietary tools that drive great educational, operational and financial results. As an avid art collector and supporter of emerging artists worldwide, Ross is on a mission to create the next generation of great artists and flatten the misunderstanding of contemporary art. His concept is thriving by serving a variety of needs in the local community.

“Now is the time to spread our success to communities across the country,” he says. “Art education is broken in America. We want to provide kids with the coolest place near their homes to learn to be creative, stretch their pure potential and have fun. At the same time, we also believe adults are desperately looking for new ways to grow, and we have found that art making is a rewarding and personal way to improve one’s quality of life. When people have art in their lives, they simply become better people. It’s my goal to help improve quality of life coast to coast”.
