(EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- After a year delay in presenting live theater, Playhouse 22's annual production of A Christmas Carol is returning to the Playhouse 22 stage.  Running December 10 - 19.  Performances will be Fridays at 8:00pm; Saturdays at 4:00pm and 8:00pm and Sundays at 3:00pm.  As a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, last December Playhouse 22 presented a virtual encore presentation of the 2019 performance.

Directed by Ken Paris and adapted by Tony Adase, A Christmas Carol at Playhouse 22 is based on the Charles Dickens' piece by the same name.  It is the story of a miserable miser who learns to keep Christmas in his heart with the help of several ghostly visitations.  A show for the whole family, the Playhouse 22 production is celebrating its 24th year at the theater.

“We are thrilled to return to the Playhouse 22 stage with our traditional production of A Christmas Carol," said Director Ken Paris. "Come join us as miserly Ebenezer Scrooge learns through the spectral visitations of four ghosts on Christmas Eve that true grace can only be found in service to others, and no other time is more worthy of this effort than Christmas-time.”

Fred Dennehy appears as Ebenezer Scrooge, with Jacqueline Master as the Spirit of Christmas Past, Michael Gilbert as the Ghost of Jacob Marley and Christopher Rowland as the Spirit of Christmas Present.

All tickets are $15, must be purchased online at Playhouse22.org or calling the Box Office at (732) 254-3939.  Guests are reminded that Playhouse 22 is requiring all those attending a Playhouse 22 performance must wear a mask while in attendance, including during the show.
