Wine Down Summer at Riverwinds Takes Place This Weekend

(WEST DEPTFORD, NJ) -- Wine Down Summer at Riverwinds takes place Saturday, August 28 and Sunday, August 29 from noon to 5:00pm at Riverwinds Community Center Great Lawn in West Deptford. In addition to the wine tastings, there will be live music by The Funktion Band on the first day and Goldenseal on the second plus artisans & crafters, and food from several eateries.

Festival pricing is $20 in advance and $25 at the gate (cash only). Admission includes wrist band, souvenir wine glass, sampling of many New Jersey wines. Anyone under 21 is admitted for free. If you do not wish to partake in the wine tasting, the admission price is waived. You must indicate you are NOT sampling upon entry. Tickets are available for purchase online.

Participating wineries include Cedar Rose Vineyards, Dimatteo Vineyards, Plagido's Winery, Salem Oak Vineyards, Terra Nonno Winery, The Vitner's Wife, Valenzano Winery, Villari Vineyards, Wagonhouse Winery, and White Horse Winery. 

Eateries include Carolina Blue, The Flying Pie Guy, House of Cupcakes, and Little Sicillian.

Artisans & Crafters include: The Bacon Jams, Carolyn's Crystal Creations, Traditional Greek Sweets, Celtic Chairde Creations, Jess Chalks, Hidden Lake Candles, Touchstone Crystal, Garden of Ev, Hats & Stuff, The Hangover Pretzel Company, Cynful Bliss, Gourmet Creations, Bellachica Accessories, Minimalist Boutique, S.L. Handmade, and Cutco.

The event organizer reserve the right to cancel event due to severe weather conditions or situations which may endanger patrons and/or participants. No refunds.

The health and safety of festival attendees is top priority.  Individuals who have tested positive or have been deemed presumptively positive with Coronavirus; sought Coronavirus testing but have not received results; been informed they may have been exposed to Coronavirus or have experienced any symptoms of Coronavirus should not purchase a ticket nor attend the festival.

Note: there is no guarantee that you will not be exposed to Coronavirus by attending the festival.  By coming to the festival, you acknowledge that you assume the inherent risks associated with attendance.  By purchasing a ticket and attending the festival you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to abide by this policy.

When and where can I buy tickets? Tickets can be purchased IN ADVANCE of the festival for the discounted rate of $20 via this website (see “Purchase Ticket” button above) through 11:59pm on Friday, August 27. Tickets can be purchased through our on line ticketing service via this web site on both days of the festival for the full admission price of $25. Online service charge of $2.00 will be applied. Please make sure to print your tickets in advance. Tickets will be available for sale at the Admissions Tent for $25 from 11:30 am until 4:30 pm each event day (CASH ONLY at the Admissions Tent). Advance Tickets are valid either Saturday or Sunday.

Do you accept Credit Cards? Majority of the wineries accept credit cards for purchase of wine by the bottle and/or case. Credit Cards are not accepted at the festival for purchasing your wristband and wine glass for sampling.

Are kids permitted? Kids are permitted to attend the festival. Kids are NOT ALLOWED AT THE WINE SAMPLING TENTS.

Is there a parking fee? No-parking is free at this venue.

Will there be food available? Food and beverages (non-alcoholic) will be available for purchase at the festival. 

Are coolers and outside food/alcohol allowed at the festival? Picnic baskets and outside coolers are permitted at the festival however NO outside alcohol is allowed. We will ask you to have your coolers open so we can check for any outside alcohol.

Can you open purchased bottles of wine at the festival? Yes- you are welcome to open purchased bottles of wine from the festival and enjoy them within the festival grounds. Please note that no open containers are permitted beyond the festival grounds.

What is there besides wine? The festival features a live band stage with performances each day by some of the very best regional bands. Make sure to also take time to stroll our artisan crafter area for wonderful hand made items, marinades, culinary treats and wine related items.

Can I bring an umbrella or tent? Pop-up style tents and large beach or patio style umbrellas are NOT PERMITTED. This includes umbrellas that attach to chairs, strollers, wagons etc. These items can act as a sail and launch which puts other patrons at risk. Due to liability issues we unfortunately cannot allow such items at the festival.

What can I bring? Blankets, camping or beach chairs, camping or portable tables, etc are all permitted.

Are pets allowed? Pets are not allowed. Assisting animals are permitted however you must provide proof.
