(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- The short film "The Stamp Collector" plays at the Brightside Tavern Film Festival on August 1st in Jersey City. The sci-fi thriller short was directed by New Jersey-based director Luke Momo (Hopewell Valley Central High School Class of 2015 alum). It stars David Alvarez who will be playing Bernardo in Steven Spielberg’s upcoming West Side Story shot in Paterson NJ in 2019.
This is the 8th film festival the short has played in thus far. The short also played at Lighthouse International Film Festival, the Garden State Film Festival, and the Nassau Film Festival. The film continues a festival streak throughout the rest of the year when it will finally premiere online for all to see.
The short film was made in Union City in Hudson River Studios with the help of NJFilm Commission.
The screening takes place at the Brightside Tavern (141 Bright Street) in Jersey City, New Jersey in a block that runs from 12:30pm to 2:00pm.
