The Exhibition is divided into three exhibition rooms: Paper, Coming Out of Pandemic, and Coming Out: Pride.

Audience members can register in advance to attend the poetry showcase here$5 suggested donation tickets are available for the Poetry Showcase to be privately performed for audiences via ZOOM. The Poetry Showcase will later be premiered at a later date on Facebook Live.

The ONE: VR Gallery may be viewed here.

Founder of Walk_Bye, Catalina Araguren says, “I created Walk Bye as a response to the wirthdrawl I felt from not being able to go to galleries and museums. This virtual exhibit is an homage to the over 100 artists from all over the world, all sexes, ages, nationalities and backgrounds who made me realize that inspiration can come from anywhere.”

Walk_Bye and OpenRoad Poetry were founded months apart from one another and share the same goal in bringing together community through artists from home.

“2020 was a time of reinvention for many artists. To have been able to partner with Crystal Letters in OpenRoad Poetry™ and be a poet in residence for Walk_Bye strengthened our community commitment as we embraced the evolving artistic landscape for visual, literary and performing artists,” says Jersey City Poet Laureate, RescuePoetix(TM).

“Celebrating our 1st anniversary with @Walk_Bye and OpenRoad Poetry is a monumental moment for both of our organizations. OpenRoad Poetry (ORP) with the help of @Walk_Bye has been able to feature artists from all artistic walks of life by connecting them one event at a time,’ said Crystal Davis of Crystal Letters (CL). “ORP has the honor of working closely with non-profits and artists around the world. OpenRoad Poetry and @Walk_Bye are beacons of light in the middle of a vacuum of stillness that accompanied 2020. It is because of that light, that I was guided and blessed to work with the Poet Laureate of Jersey City and Rockstar, RescuePoetix ™ and Photographer, Artist, and Founder of @Walk_Bye, Catalina Aranguren. Our 1st Anniversary will be amazing! You won’t want to miss it. The best part? You can watch it from home!”

Founder of Walk-Bye, Catalina Aranguren, has always been inspired by the power of art to transform and connect us. The pandemic has allowed for her to share her artwork virtually in other countries including Sweden, UK, Hungary and Spain. Art has become a way to continue to connect to others during a time when we all feel so suddenly disconnected from the outside world. The human element is severely missing, what we all really need right now — connection to others outside the virtual.

OpenRoad Poetry is an artistic partnership between Jersey City-based women owned businesses, Crystal Letters LLC. and RescuePoetix™, as a subsidiary partnership of parent company, Crystal Letters LLC. OpenRoad Poetry celebrates the arts and the creation of art. ORP is known for hosting Live and Virtual Poetry & Open Mic events benefiting local venues & non-profit organizations,  and provides non-profit businesses and for profit businesses with technical and professional development services. ORP believes in extending artists a platform to network, grow and share their work, their voices and their stories. A poetic road of limitless possibilities.
