10th Tri-State Theatre Festival Takes Place June 11-13

(SPRING LAKE, NJ) -- South Street Players (SSP) will present the 10th Tri-State Theatre Festival from June 11-13 at St. Andrew's Wesley Hall, corner of 4th St. and Mercer Ave in Spring Lake, NJ. The festival includes eight of their favorite one-act plays presented by the company over the past 9 years.  The festival is produced by SSP Board Member Rob Sullivan.

SOPAC Presents Suzanne Vega On September 11

(SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) -- South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) presents Grammy Award-winning artist Suzanne Vega on Saturday, September 11 at 8:00pm. Largely regarded as one of the foremost songwriters of her generation, she will celebrate her career-spanning live album, An Evening of New York Songs and Stories, in an intimate concert from the SOPAC stage. The full-band set will feature the album’s New York-centric repertoire, honoring Vega’s long musical relationship with her city.


Todrick Hall To Perform In Asbury Park April 2022

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park presents the Quarantine Queen, Todrick Hall on Thursday, April 28, 2022. Todrick Hall is celebrating  the release of his new album, Femuline, released on June 8, 2021.  This release follows Hall’s 2020 EP Quarantine Queen and exudes a new confidence and power, with plenty of dancefloor-ready tracks.


David Duchovny To Release Third Album "Gestureland"

(NEW YORK, NY) -- David Duchovny will release his third album Gestureland on August 20th (GMG/King Baby). This is the follow-up to Every Third Thought (2018) that All Music  called “eloquent, alt-rock-kissed country-folk in the vein of Wilco and the Wallflowers."

Documentary on acclaimed painter Chuck Connelly screens at the 2021 New Jersey International Film Festival

Into the Light is the sort of documentary that exists to change the life of both the film’s subject and its viewers. Filmmaker and director Benjamin Schwartz did us the great service of not only coaxing artist Chuck Connelly back into his rightful place in the sun, but of sharing Connelly’s art through art of his own. The film will be available for streaming worldwide on Saturday, June 12 at the 2021 New Jersey International Film Festival.


NJSO and NJPAC Present 7th Installment of Harry Potter Film Concert Series On October 30

(NEWARK, NJ) -- The Harry Potter Film Concert Series returns to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 in Concert, the second to last film in the Harry Potter series. On Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 2:00pm the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra will perform Alexandre Desplat’s incredible score live from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 while the entire film plays in high-definition on a 40-foot screen.

Monmouth County Park System Seeks Entries For "Geometric Exhibit"

(LINCROFT, NJ) -- Calling all artists!  The Monmouth County Park System is seeking entries into its upcoming Geometric Exhibit.  Held from July 9-August 28 at the Gallery in the Thompson Park Creative Arts Center, Lincroft, this exhibit will feature works that emphasize shape, line and angle.  This show is open to artists working in any medium within this theme. Entry deadline is Friday, June 18.

RVCC to Offer in-Person and Online Summer Camps for Kids & Teens

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College, in partnership with Mad Science LLC, Super Science Programs for Kids and Black Rocket, is offering virtual and in-person summer camp programs for children and teens ages 7-17. Some enrichment courses also will be taught by RVCC adjunct professors. Start dates vary throughout the summer. Programs focus on STEAM subjects, enrichment opportunities, and health and wellness. Summer programs are available through August 20.

Fall 2025 New Jersey Film Festival Preview

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The New Jersey Film Festival returns to Rutgers University September 5 through October 10, 2025. As it has done the last few years, the festival will include select in-person screenings with all films available via video on-demand (VOD) as well. There are also a few screenings available only via VOD. Twenty films will have their New Jersey or Area Premiere (Middlesex County).

Akwaaba Gallery presents Martryce Roach Solo Exhibition Reflecting the Great Migration

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Akwaaba Gallery is proud to present "Patterns: People in Transition," the second solo exhibition of New Jersey born artist, Martryce Roach. The exhibition features a collection of brand new paintings, ranging in size, that explore the rich history of the Great Migration and its synergy with blues music. The exhibition will be on view through August 15, 2025 with an opening reception on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm.

Jazz Concert at Trenton City Museum will Feature the Joe Baione Vibraphone Experience

(TRENTON, NJ) -- Trenton City Museum will present a free jazz concert Friday, July 18, 2025 at the museum's Ellarslie Mansion in Cadwalader Park. Featuring world-renowned vibraphonist Joe Baione, the Joe Baione Vibraphone Experience is the first group to perform in a series of jazz events leading up to the museum's 2026 TRENTON MAKES JAZZ exhibition, in collaboration with the City of Trenton.

(WEST DEPTFORD, NJ) -- The vibrant, story-driven artwork of celebrated Cape May-area visual artist Sydnei SmithJordan will be part of the featured lineup in an exhibition at the Riverwinds Community Center in West Deptford. Running July 1 to August 30, 2025, the dynamic show will include the work of SmithJordan — known for her unique pop fusion style oil paintings of historical figures and future newsmakers— alongside pieces by fellow artists Gloria Gammage Davis, Quinton Greene and Robyn Huber.
