originally published: 06/06/2021

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- This summer, Nimbus leads Jersey City and statewide audiences back to live performance with the star-studded, outdoor Nimbus Arts Festival. The Nimbus Arts Festival features a lineup of nationally-renowned and locally-loved performing artists including Nimbus Dance, Jersey City’s hometown dance company, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, co-presentations with Segunda Quimbamba Puerto Rican Folkloric center,  Riverview Jazz and Hudson West Folk Festival, and special guest: Sarah Lane, star of the American Ballet Theatre. Audiences can expect amazing arts entertainment in a laid-back and socially distanced atmosphere, complete with food trucks, drink refreshments, and artisan vendors.

“After a year of intense isolation, and desperation for many, we are putting our full faith in the arts to help our community renew and come together again,” said Nimbus Artistic Director, Samuel Pott. “As we finally open the Nimbus Arts Center as a hub for Jersey City’s visual and performing arts,  the Nimbus Arts Festival gives a taste of the excitement that is yet to come!”

Located at the Harborside Campus at 107 Morgan St. across from the newly opened Nimbus Arts Center in Jersey City’s Powerhouse Arts District, Nimbus will provide Jersey City with the excellent and innovative programming from which it has built its statewide reputation.

"Mack-Cali has an enduring and significant commitment to the arts in Jersey City. We are proud to partner with Nimbus as they trail-blaze new platforms and events like the Nimbus Arts Festival that bring vibrancy to our community," said Mahbod Nia, Chief Executive Officer of Mack-Cali Realty Corporation.

With an eclectic mix of performances, including a family-oriented cultural event on June 12 complete with youth talent show co-presented with JC Families, followed by a performance by New Jersey Symphony Orchestra’s Brass Ensemble, Nimbus invites Jersey City residents to re-emerge and safely enjoy some of the first live performances for over a year.

Ticket prices vary with each event, with the potential to add on chair rentals, drink tickets and other amenities to your reservation. VIP tickets come with a table and chairs for your group as well as bonus benefits.

Mack-Cali is the lead sponsor of the Nimbus Arts Festival. The Festival is supported by Mayor Steven M. Fulop, the Jersey City Municipal Council, and the Office of Cultural Affairs, the Exchange Place Alliance, LMC - A Lennar Company, and the HK Organization. CoolVines is the Beverage Sponsor of the Nimbus Arts Festival.
