Rock, Ribs & Ridges Festival To Take Place June 25-27

(AUGUSTA, NJ) --- The long-simmering desire to be outdoors and reconnect with friends and fellow music lovers is clearly evident judging by advance ticket sales for the upcoming Rock, Ribs & Ridges festival.  Presented by Franklin Sussex Automall, the 11th annual food and music festival features some of the biggest names in Southern rock plus mouthwatering barbecue served up by top pitmasters from around the country at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, NJ from June 25-27, 2021.


Cape May MAC launches Cape May Music Festival Series 2021 with free virtual concert May 13

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- Cape May MAC (Museums + Arts + Culture) will kick off the 2021 Cape May Music Festival Series witha free classical music concert presented virtually for viewing and listening at home that will launch on Cape May MAC’s website, capemaymac.org, on Thursday, May 13 at 5:30pm with performances by members of the New York Chamber Ensemble and the Bay Atlantic Symphony.. This year's festival will include both live and virtual concerts, featuring classical, jazz and brass band music.

"That whole album was made in Muscle Shoals with the Muscle Shoals band; The Swampers. The same guys that played with everybody from Aretha to Lynyrd Skynyrd to the Stones with Roger Hawkins on the drums, David Hood on the bass, Jimmy Johnson was alive then on the guitar, Clayton Ivey on keyboards because Barry Beckett had passed; Steve Cropper co-produced it with me and yeah, we had a blast making that record because that was a great band."


RVCC Virtual Benefit Concert to Feature Music for Viola, Piano On May 16

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- The Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) Arts & Design department will present an afternoon of music for viola and piano, Sunday, May 16 at 2:00pm. The virtual performance is the department’s next selection in a concert series launched to help defray the cost of private instructional lessons for RVCC music majors. The virtual concert, featuring performances by violist Brett Deubner and pianist Allison Brewster Franzetti, will be streamed live from RVCC’s Welpe Theatre.

Outside The Lines Site Specific Dance Project To Premiere at Centenary Stage Company On May 15th

(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company will host the premiere of the Outside the Lines Dance Project, on May 15, 2021 at 3:00pm, on the Front lawn of Seay Building. (rain date May 16). Co-founded by Centenary University dance and theater professors, Maureen Glennon Clayton and Lea Antolini Lid, Outside the Lines intention is to present immersive site-specific dance experiences throughout the state of New Jersey.

Newark Announces Proposed Designs For Harriet Tubman Monument Project

(NEWARK, NJ) -- On April 29, 2021, Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka announced that the City of Newark is calling on Newark residents to share their feedback on proposals submitted by the five finalists selected to design the new Harriet Tubman Monument. Five critically acclaimed artists: Abigail DeVille, Dread Scott, Jules Arthur, Nina Cooke John, and Vinnie Bagwell, were chosen by a jury to submit their designs.


Hunterdon Art Museum Explores Social Issues, Changing Cultural Landscape In New Exhibitions
