"The Importance of Being Earnest: Live in HD" Available Throughout May

(LOS ANGELES, CA) -- Roundabout Theatre Company, L.A. Theatre Works and BY Experience are bringing back Roundabout’s critically acclaimed Broadway production of Oscar Wilde’s comedy The Importance of Being Earnest, directed by and starring Brian Bedford and filmed live in HD. Previously shown in movie theaters across the country, “The Importance of Being Earnest: Live in HD” is being made available to home viewers for the first time with a new, limited stream offer from May 1 through May 31, 2021.


Exit 82 Holds Auditions for "Hair"

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Exit 82 will present HAIR this summer, playing July 29 - August 7, 2021 at an outdoor amphitheater in downtown Toms River. The company is holding auditions for all roles. This will be a production open to and inclusive of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, and sexualities. Exit 82 asks for people to submit a 32 bar cut of a rock or musical theatre uptempo song. Submissions will be accepted until May 7th, 2021. This is a non-union production.

Catalyst Quartet Returns To Morris Museum On May 16

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Catalyst Quartet Returns to Morris Museum's Lot of Strings Music Festival on Sunday, May 16th at 7:00pm with their acclaimed program, Uncovered, showcasing the Music of Black Composers. The Catalyst Quartet and their “lively conversation” return after a triumphant performance of their rendition of Bach’s Goldberg Variations and Philip Glass’s String Quartet No. 3 last Summer. In case of rain, the performance will take place on Wednesday, May 19 at 7:00pm.


Celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month With A New Animated Video For Count Basie's “Jumpin’ At The Woodside"

To help celebrate the life of the legendary Count Basie and Jazz Appreciation Month (April), the Count Basie Estate and Primary Wave Music released a brand new, animated video for the classic Basie song, "Jumpin' At The Woodside" on April 26.


Music At Bunker Hill Presents Sybarite5 Live Outdoors On May 8th

(MULLICA HILL, NJ) -- Music at Bunker Hill, in partnership with The Music Barn, presents Sybarite5  on May 8th at 2:30pm (video available May 9 at 2:30pm) in a program that is uniquely their own. Recently dubbed “the millennial Kronos” (Theater Jones), Sybarite5 is chamber music’s most dynamic ensemble taking listeners on a musical journey of staggering breadth and depth with new works by living composers, as well as the group’s favorite selections from Radiohead, Coltrane, Komitas, Piazzolla, and Pete Seeger... but as Strings Magazine says “that doesn’t even begin to describe the range of their eclecticism or the depth of their repertoire.”

Art Fair 14C Merges with Art House Productions

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Art Fair 14C has merged with Art House Productions effective April 28, 2021 to improve and expand the visual arts opportunities for the Jersey City community and beyond. The merger will allow both groups to better structure resources and to support each other in a more meaningful way. Founded in 2019 and 2001 respectively, Art Fair 14C and Art House Productions both serve artists and arts lovers throughout New Jersey with high quality arts programming. Art Fair 14C Founder, Robinson Holloway, will join the Art House Productions Board of Trustees.
