Holmdel Theatre Company & Out of the Box Theatrics Present Virtual Reading of "Let The Chips Fall Where They May, A Covid Play"

Out of the Box Theatrics (OOTB) and Holmdel Theatre Company present a virtual reading of Let The Chips Fall Where They May, A Covid Play on Monday, October 5th at 7:15pm ET on Facebook and YouTube. Written by Bob Stewart, the piece is directed by Fredi Walker-Browne (RENT). Sound and video production by DimlyWit Productions.


Two River Theater Presents Reading of "Seven Homeless Mammoths Wander New England"

(RED BANK, NJ) -- The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Playwright in Residence, Madeleine George began her relationship with Two River nine years ago with the world premiere production of her play Seven Homeless Mammoths Wander New England, originally directed by Ken Rus Schmoll. The Theater will now revisit the play as part of the its “Two River Rising” online benefit series with Leigh Silverman directing.  Act 1 will stream live on Wednesday, September 16 and Act 2 with a Q&A on Thursday, September 17 at 7:00pm EDT.

MPAC Announces Events For September and October Including Shows Inside The Theatre

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) has announced shows in September and October, including a series of intimate performances for audiences of up to 150 this fall inside the Theatre. These will mark the first events inside MPAC since it was ordered to close on March 12 due to the coronavirus outbreak. In addition to limited sized indoor events, MPAC's fall programming includes brand-new virtual shows, online performing arts classes and outdoor drive-in concerts.

Montclair Film Launches Virtual Cinema With "A Thousand Cuts" Available For Free This Week

(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- The Montclair Film Virtual Cinema, powered by Eventive, was announced on September 14.  The cinema, now available via mobile and desktop web browsers, as well as a new App for Apple TV and Roku devices, will be the home for all virtual screenings for the upcoming Montclair Film Festival (October 16-25, 2020) and will be available after the festival on a year-round basis, showcasing the best in new releases of art house, documentary, and local filmmaking on demand.

Prudential Center To Serve As Polling Site

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Mayor Ras J. Baraka, Los Angeles Lakers star J.R. Smith, NBPA Executive Director Michele Roberts, New Jersey Devils President Jake Reynolds, New Jersey Secretary of State Tahesha Way, and Essex County Board of Elections Clerk Linda Von Nessi announced in a virtual press conference on September 14 that the Prudential Center will serve as a "Super Polling Site" for the upcoming 2020 Presidential election pending final vote by the Essex County Board of Elections. It would accept ballots on Election Day, provide residents with opportunities to register to vote in September, and serve as a location to assist Newark residents with filling out and returning 2020 US Census forms by the September 30 deadline.

(WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Pleasant Valley Productions (PVP) is presenting Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's iconic rock opera, Jesus Christ Superstar at the Oscar Schindler Performing Arts Center (OSPAC). The production runs July 11-12 and July 17-19, 2025. This groundbreaking musical, which revolutionized the world of theatre, tells the story of the final week of Jesus' life through the eyes of Judas Iscariot.
