NJPAC Adds Second Show For Kathleen Madigan

(NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) has added a second show for Kathleen Madigan's 8 O'Clock Happy Hour Tour, which comes to NJPAC on Friday, April 3, 2020.  Shows will take place at 7:00pm and 9:30pm. Tickets range from $49-$59.

When Kathleen Madigan takes the stage, you’re in hilarious hands. She’s no nonsense, no holds barred, and “no filler, all killer.” The Chicago Tribune says she’s “all but perfected the art of crafting and delivering a perfect joke”—no surprise for a road warrior who’s played to sold-out crowds across the country for nearly 30 years. You’ve seen her on every late night show ever, along with her Netflix special “Bothering Jesus” and Jerry Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.” NJPAC audiences demanded we bring Kathleen back after her last appearance in Newark—come see why.

Jerry Seinfeld says, “She makes a lot of sense but not too much sense. Just enough to be hilarious.” Lewis Black calls her, “One of the best comics working today and one of my favorites and I’m not getting paid to say that.” And Ron White says, “She’s not just one of the best ‘female’ comics, she’s one of the best comics, period.”

New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) is located at One Center Street in Newark, New Jersey. The venue has the most diverse programming and audience of any performing arts center in the country, and is the artistic, cultural, educational and civic center of New Jersey – where great performances and events enhance and transform lives every day. NJPAC brings diverse communities together, providing access to all and showcasing the state’s and the world’s best artists while acting as a leading catalyst in the revitalization of its home city. Through its extensive Arts Education programs, NJPAC is shaping the next generation of artists and arts enthusiasts. NJPAC has attracted more than 9 million visitors (including over 1.7 million children and families) since opening its doors in 1997, and nurtures meaningful and lasting relationships with each of its constituents.
