Season 9 of Lights! Camera! Politics! Film Series Features "Tales Of Espionage"

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The 9th season of Lights! Camera! Politics! Film Series spotlights "Tales of Espionage" with screenings of Notorious, The Kremlin Letter, and Bridge of Spies. The series is a civic engagement project of Classic Politics sponsored by Ed JohnsonAP International. Screenings take place at The Stephen Crane House in Asbury Park. Season #9 begins Saturday, October 5th at 3:00pm with Notorious - a spy thriller about post-WWII Nazis hiding in Brazil starring Ingrid Bergman and Cary Grant.

The Fall 2019 schedule continues on Saturday November 2nd with the Cold War based adventure - The Kremlin Letter - starring Richard Boone, Orson Welles, Max von Sydow, Bibi Andersson, Patrick O'Neal and George Sanders. 

The Season Finale is scheduled for Saturday, December 7th at 3:00pm featuring Tom Hanks in a story of accused spies and the trading of political prisoners - Bridge of Spies - which takes him across the wall, deep into the heart of East Berlin.

The film series is free and open to the public. Donations to the Asbury Park Toy Drive are graciously accepted! Each session features a post-screening reception providing the opportunity for viewers to discuss each film and share their viewing experience.

The Stephen Crane House is located at 508 4th Avenue in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The Rutgers Film Co-op/New Jersey Media Arts Center, in association with the Rutgers University Program in Cinema Studies, presents the 2026 New Jersey International Film Festival which marks their 31st Anniversary. The NJIFF competition will be taking place on the Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between May 29 - June 7, 2026 and will be a hybrid one as they will be presenting it online as well as doing in-person screenings at Rutgers University.
