Light Opera of New Jersey Presents "Ragtime, the Musical" at SOPAC
(SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) -- Light Opera of New Jersey continues its 24th Season of operetta and musical theatre with a production of Ragtime the Musical directed by Jeffrey Fiorello with musical direction by Charles Santoro and choreography by Aimee Mitacchione. This sweeping musical portrait of early-twentieth-century America tells the story of three families in the pursuit of the American Dream. Performances take place July 19, 20, 26 and 27, 2019 at 8:00pm; and July 21 and 28, 2019 at 2:00pm.
Pushcart Players Awarded Lillian P. Schenck Trust Fund Grant
Pushcart Players, New Jersey’s Emmy nominated and award-winning touring theater for young audiences, has received a generous grant from PNC Charitable Trusts / Lillian P. Schenck Trust Fund. In a grant ceremony early last month, the Fund made an investment to support theater education programs in underserved Northern New Jersey schools.
Pioneer Productions Presents The Who's Tommy
(FAIR LAWN, NJ) -- Pioneer Productions will present The Who’s Tommy- The Original Rock Opera July 5-7 and 12-14 at The George Fry Center for the Arts at the Fair Lawn Community Center. The production is directed by Douglas McLaughlin with Choreography by Jon Mantes and musical direction by Bruce De La Cruz. Originally a concept album then a movie then a Broadway show Tommy’s story of an insensate boy’s journey from isolation & abuse to heroic connection and triumph has endured for half a century.

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The Saint presents an all age matinee with Brooklyn based Bay Faction on Saturday, July 6th at 1:00pm. The band will be supported by The Water Cycle. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
Rockin' Rich Lynch Releases "Hail Atlantis"
(NASHVILLE, TN) -- Nashville based musician Rockin' Rich Lynch found himself at a starting point in 1999 when he laid down tracks for "Hail Atlantis" - the first song he ever recorded in a true studio environment. Now, nearly 20 years later the tune is being released commercially on the artist's own label.

Winners of the 2019 New Jersey International Film Festival Announced!
Winners of the 2019 New Jersey International Film Festival Competition Announced! All the works that were part of the New Jersey International Film Festival Competition were selected by a panel of judges including media professionals, journalists, students, and academics. These judges selected the 20 finalists which were publicly screened at our Festival. The finalists were selected from 498 works submitted by filmmakers from around the world. In addition, the judges chose the Prize Winners in conjunction with the Festival Director.

Jerry Cable Awarded Top Prize At The Art of Time Exhibition
(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Jerry Cable of Stockton, NJ was awarded the $2,500 prize awarded during The Art of Time Exhibition held on Saturday, June 1 at Hamilton Jewelers, Princeton Palm Beach. Designed to raise awareness of arts in the Princeton community, artists had the opportunity to have their work seen by thousands during Hamilton’s 20th annual Watch Fair event. The exhibit benefited the Arts Council of Princeton.
D&R Greenway's Olivia Rainbow Gallery Presents Vivid Tree Art of Princeton Junior School students
(PRINCETON, NJ) -- D&R Greenway Land Trust’s Olivia Rainbow Gallery presents Princeton Junior School Artists: The eloquent New Jersey Tree Quilt crafted by master quilter Gail Mitchell for her English As a Second Language students inspired Pre-K through Fifth Graders to create their own interpretations of state trees. From the skeletal to the fully leafed-out, vivid evocations of trees special to our state adorn gallery walls. Princeton Junior School’s Art Studio students tend three pet snails. Sprightly, colorful snail portraits are interspersed with highly individualistic trees of all seasons. This exhibit may be enjoyed in the Student Gallery of D&R Greenway’s Johnson Education Center, through July 3.
