(HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- The Ritz Theatre presents The Apple Tree from June 7-23. The Apple Tree is a collection of three musicals that are unrelated and, yet, strangely connected. Funny, touching, and remarkably memorable, it’s a little show with a big heart.
Ritz Producing Artistic Director Bruce Curless has a special affection for The Apple Tree, he directed the show four times earlier in his career, while he was working in the Midwest. "The Apple Tree is one of my favorite shows. Consisting of three seemingly unrelated stories, each are actually related in a unique, intriguing sort of way: 'Be careful what you wish for.' "
The Cast includes Danielle DeFassio as Eve/Princess Barbara/Ella; Joe Grasso as Adam/Captain Sanjar/Flip; Ellen Sheinkin as The Snake/Balladeer/Narrator; Robert Repici as King Arik/Ensemble; Hannah Hobson as Nadjira/Ensemble; and Giacomo Fizzano as Ensemble Alexa Wilder as Ensemble. The production is directed by Bruce A. Curless.
Performances are Fridays @ 8:00pm; Saturdays at 8:00pm; and Sundays at 2:00pm from June 7 through June 23. The Ritz Theatre Co. is located at 915 White Horse Pike in Haddon Township, New Jersey.
More than 30 years ago, The Ritz Theatre Company was founded to bring live, quality, professional productions to our region … and they’re still doing it today. Throughout their history, they’ve aspired to make theatre accessible to everyone, to entertain audiences with favorites, to challenge them (and ourselves) with complex works, to provide onstage training for actors, to introduce kids to the magic of live theatre, and to help restore the historic building they call their home.
