(RAHWAY, NJ) -- To celebrate new extended hours at their new second location, The Coffee Box Rahway hosted a "Thursday Night Throwdown" latte art competition on March 28. Twenty-two baristas competed with steamed milk and espresso to create incredible designs on top of delicious drinks. Thanks to Rahway’s direct train connection, a number of famous NYC baristas joined competitors from The Coffee Box and other local coffee shops. The house was packed with a large crowd of spectators. The winner, who is considered "Coffee Royalty", was Ujae Lee who is the 2018 Coffee Fest World Latte Art Champion.
While revelling over this unique artform, participants enjoyed pizza from Il Forno a Legna and beer from Wet Ticket. Mighty Mugs of Rahway donated some of the prizes.
