(MILLVILLE, NJ) -- The Off Broad Street Players is the resident theatre company of the Levoy Theatre in Millville.  The 2019 season includes Into The Woods; Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach, Jr.; Driving Miss Daisy; Mamma Mia!; Harper Lee's To Kill A Mockingbird; and Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins.

Into the Woods (February 8th – 17th, 2019) -- In Sondheim & Lapine’s delightfully fractured fairy tale musical, a Baker and his Wife embark into the woods on a quest to reverse a curse laid on them by the Witch next door.  Along the way they encounter an ambivalent Cinderella, an aggressive Red Riding Hood, a rebellious Rapunzel, a too-trusting Jack, and a couple of not-so-princely Princes.  But when everyone’s wishes are granted, the consequences of their self-centered actions come to haunt them.   Eventually they learn a moving life lesson about working together, the stories we tell our children, and the real meaning of “happily ever after.”

Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach, Jr. – All-Kids Production! (March 29th – 31st, 2019) --Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach, Jr. is a musical for the whole family to enjoy! When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that results in a tremendous peach… and launches a journey of enormous proportions. Featuring a wickedly tuneful score by the Tony Award-winning team of Pasek and Paul (Dear Evan Hansen & The Greatest Showman) critics rave:James and the Giant Peach is a “masterpeach!”

Driving Miss Daisy (May 10th – 12th, 2019) -- Alfred Uhry’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play Driving Miss Daisy, the inspiration for the Academy Award-winning film of the same name, tells the story of two unlikely friends. When 72 year old, Jewish and wealthy Miss Daisy drives her 1964 Chrysler into her neighbor’s yard, her son buys her a new car and hires a chauffeur, Hoke Colburn, an elderly black man. What begins as a troubled and hostile pairing, soon blossoms into a profound, life-altering friendship that transcends all societal boundaries placed between them. Driving Miss Daisy has become one of the most beloved American stories of the late twentieth century.

Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird (October 4th – 6th, 2019) -- Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, To Kill A Mockingbird dramatizes one of the most enduring pieces of American literature. From a young age, Scout has enjoyed the privileges that come with being affluent and white in the racially segregated town of Maycomb, Alabama. When her father, a lawyer, takes on the task of defending a black man against a potential death sentence, Scout quickly learns that growing up means doing what is right, even when it comes at great cost.

Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins (November 8th – 17th, 2019) -- Based on the stories by P.L. Travers and the classic Walt Disney film, Mary Poppins takes us on a magical and thrilling journey.
