KCON NY Returns to Prudential Center

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Celebrating its sixth anniversary, KCON New York returns to the Prudential Center for a third year.  It is the world’s largest Korean culture convention and music festival, with over 110,000 passionate fans in attendance last year across both coasts. The event features two nights of concerts running June 23-24.  The convention footprint will be triple the size of previous years adding more of everything in a larger space. Tickets to the convention are $20 for both days.

KCON NY features workshops, panels, booths, and a Korean marketplace with over 120 local merchants, businesses, and food vendors located directly outside of the Prudential Center. Here, attendees can find booths representing various aspects of Korean culture including food, music, television and film, fashion, beauty, and more.

The concert portion of KCON NY includes some of the largest names in K-Pop today, which bring the very best of their music, choreography, and energy for thousands of screaming fans. Artists include CNBLUE, GFRIEND, HIGHLIGHT, KNK, NCT127, SF9, TWICE, UP10TION , and ZION.T

Program highlights at KCON 2017 NY include panels and workshops featuring: A panel discussion with K-pop Fashion with experts; a workshop on Korean Food with “Top Chef” star and restaurateur Edward Lee and food influencer Sunkyung Longest; beauty guru Edward Avila and revealing his best beauty tips; an all-day dance workshop; a discussion on “The Rise of LGBT Characters in Asian Dramas”; and much much more.

Coming to KCON NY for the first time is the Beauty Block, a 6,000 square foot block dedicated to Korean beauty. Dozens of leading brands and influencers will be in attendance providing a great opportunity to fully experience K-beauty though various on-going demos and samplings. There will also be special meet & greets with beauty influencers.

KCON NY takes place Friday, June 23, and Saturday, June 24, 2017.  The convention is open from 10:00am to 6:00pm each day with concerts scheduled to start at 7:00pm. The Prudential Center is located at 25 Lafayette Street in Newark, New Jersey.
