La Strada Ensemble Presents "Not Curing Cancer" by Gerry Ringwald

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- La Strada Ensemble presents the Premiere of Not Curing Cancer at the Jersey Shore Arts Center in Ocean Grove, April 7th-9th. In this play, Jane Huxley enters the work force after her husband has passed away. She is offered a job in a top Pharmaceutical PR firm to help find a cure for Cancer in this searing hilarious original comedy by Chicago's most scathing and biting satirist Gerry Ringwald. 

Not Curing Cancer pokes fun at the commercialization of cancer and medical research, celebrity fundraising, athlete endorsements, product placement, infotainment shows, hype, sex, show business, and just about everything else you can think of.

 The production is directed by AJ Ciccotelli with features NYC’s 106.7 morning personality Christine Nagy (as Jane Huxley) and nationally known television travel and vacation expert Pete Trabucco (CJ Huxley). 

Four performances are scheduled, Friday April 7th at 8:00pm, Saturday April 8th at 2:00pm and 8:00pm and Sunday April 9th at 2:00pm. Tickets are $18 for general admission and $12 for students / senior citizens. There will be a Q&A with the laywright and cast after last performance.
