(RAHWAY, NJ) -- The Rahway International Film Festival will open its fourth annual celebration on Friday, October 21, 2016 at the UC PAC’s Hamilton Stage for the Performing Arts in Rahway, NJ with a complimentary cocktail hour for all of the evening’s attendees.  Cocktail Hour will begin at 6:30pm, followed by the night’s film presentations at 8:00pm.  The pre-show party will be catered by Nygel’s American Cuisine of Cherry Street in Rahway, NJ.

The feature film “The Wedding Invitation,” written, directed and produced by Rainy Kerwin will be celebrated as the Opening Night Feature.  “The Wedding Invitation” is a female-driven comedy shot by an ENTIRELY FEMALE CREW.  This is a rare feat in the world of filmmaking and RIFF is proud to present this film.  It is RIFF’s mission is to present an equal ratio of films created by male and female filmmakers from around the world.

The feature will be preceded by the short films “Small Fry” a local student production, “Dear Susie” a brief romance from Italy, and the world premier of “Frame of Reference” the latest romantic comedy by festival director Gina Marie Rodriguez.

Filmmaker Rainy Kerwin will be joining all the way from California to discuss her hilarious comedy, “The Wedding Invitation.”  Filmmakers Gina Marie Rodriguez, Steven Hayet and Ian J. Keeney, the writers and director of the short film “Frame of Reference” respectively, will also be present for a Q&A Session following the film screenings.  Moderated by local artist, entrepreneur and founder of Just Be You Performing Arts, Mahogany Reynolds, RIFF’s Q&A sessions have always proven to be enlightening.

Patria Latin Bistro, located at 169 Main Street in Rahway, will host the night’s after party offering $5 drink specials and a complimentary buffet, included with the evening’s ticket price of $35.

The Fourth Annual Rahway International Film Festival will take place Friday, October 21st through Sunday, October 23rd, 2016 at the Hamilton Stage for the Performing Arts in Rahway, NJ.
