WXPN Announces More Artists For 2016 XPoNential Music Festival

(CAMDEN, NJ) -- More artists including Colvin & Earle, The Revivalists, White Denim, Songhoy Blues, Billy Hector, and Esmé Patterson - along with Philadelphia-based favorites Ben Arnold, Kississippi, Eliza Hardy Jones, RoseMary Fiki and Queen of Jeans - have been added to the lineup for the 2016 XPoNential Music Festival presented by Subaru, which takes place July 22 to July 24.

“For music lovers, it doesn’t get any better than this year’s diverse selection of heritage, up-and-coming, and local artists,” said WXPN General Manager Roger LaMay. “The XPoNential Music Festival is an exceptional music event that has achieved national stature, thanks to the WXPN members, listeners and artists who support our mission to connect artists with audiences.”

These artists will join the previously-announced 20-plus who are performing in the three-day, two-venue Festival from Friday, July 22 through Sunday, July 24 at BB&T Pavilion and Wiggins Park on the Camden, NJ riverfront (see updated lineup, below). During the WXPN Spring Fund Drive, listeners who make a pledge to become members at $25 per month will receive two complimentary 3-Day Go Everywhere Passes with general access to all performances in Wiggins Park and lawn access at BB&T Pavilion.  All new and existing XPN Members can save 50% on 3-Day Go Everywhere Passes with lawn admission to BB&T and single day Wiggins Park passes, when available.

The XPoNential Music Festival presented by Subaru is WXPN’s signature annual concert event that draws audiences from throughout the Greater Philadelphia area, Mid-Atlantic region, and Northeastern US. Now in its 12th year at Wiggins Park and 5th year at the adjacent BB&T Pavilion (formerly Susquehanna Bank Center), WXPN produces the XPoNential Music Festival in partnership with the Camden County Board of Freeholders. The festival features the expertly curated mix of established and new artists enjoyed by WXPN members and listeners and is a preferred summer music event, known for convenient access via public transportation, natural amphitheaters that produce great sound, plenty of activities for kids, extensive food, drink and vendor selections, and festival seating and riverfront promenades that offer spectacular views of the Delaware River and Philadelphia skyline.
