(NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents an evening of soul with Mint Condition and Floetry on Thursday, April 21 at 8:00pm. Don’t miss Mint Condition performing their hits including “Breakin’ My Heart (Pretty Brown Eyes)” & “What Kind of Man would I Be.” and Floetry performing their hits “Say Yes,” “Superstar.”  Tickets range from $45.50 - $85.50.

About Floetry: Floetry recorded two studio albums Floetic (2002) and Flo’Ology (2005) and one live album Floacism (2003). Floetic sold over 788,000 copies in the United States alone. The album spawned the singles “Floetic”, the top ten songs “Say Yes”, and “Getting Late”. Following their success both in the charts and on the underground scene, Floetry released their live album Floacism, featuring the single ‘Wanna B Where U R’ (This Is A Love Song). Flo’Ology followed with the release of “SupaStar” featuring Common.

Firmly established as sought after talents in the game Floetry were recognized for their talents by receiving nominations for an impressive 7 Grammy Awards, they also picked up 3 Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards and went on to pen classics for Earth Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson (Marsha only), Jill Scott, Macy Gray, Glenn Lewis (Marsha only), and Bilal to name but a few.

About Mint Condition: Mint Condition started their career in 1986 at the Minnesota Black Musician Awards show and built a strong core following in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, the Dakotas, and Nebraska. As a result of their energetic live shows, Mint Condition came to the attention of Minneapolis R&B producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis who helped them succeed in the music industry. The band had steady success beginning with the hits "(Breaking My Heart) Pretty Brown Eyes" and "Forever in Your Eyes", Meant to Be Mint (1991), and with "Nobody Does It Betta" and "(U Send Me) Swinging" From the Mint Factory (1993); the group continued with the platinum success of the single "What Kind of Man Would I Be" from its gold album Definition of a Band (1996).

Mint Condition continued their success in 1999, when they released Life's Aquarium, which earned them a Top Five Billboard R&B single "If You Love Me." However, it would be their last release for a major, even though it was their first Top Ten R&B album. Today Mint Condition continues to tour, make new music and receive awards from the music industry as one of the best urban bands in America.
