(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Ocean County native Remember Jones brings his latest show Remember Jones + The Samba Soul Revue featuring arrangements from the Brazalian bateria of Reading Samba School to The Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts at Ocean County College on Saturday, January 16 at 8:00pm.  Tickets are $29.

Called "...simply amazing..." by Rock Chicago Magazine, "...powerhouse soul singer..." by American Songwriter Magazine, and "soul sensation Remember Jones is an expert at making the past present, bringing history to life with soulful sound and funky fury..."  by The Asbury Park Press, Remember Jones has sold-out many venues with his large bands and orchestras, throwback vibe, and authentic energy. His tributes to Amy Winehouse, Joe Cocker, R. Kelly, and more have put his name into national and international spotlight. He will engage a new soul sound and never-before-heard arrangements of popular soul tunes out of the brazilian bateria (percussion section of an ensemble consisting of traditional instruments such as surdos, caixa, repinique, chocalhos, tamborims, agogos, pandeiros, cuicas, and more!).

Reading Samba School of West Reading, PA is under the direction of A.J. Merlino. A.J.'s intense and versatile performing style has made him a highly sought after percussionist. His playing has taken him around the world including Scotland, Croatia, Greece, Thailand, Australia, and Argentina. While residing in Las Vegas, he performed on the Las Vegas strip with such artists as Jay-Z, Redfoo of LMFAO, Ronnie Vannucci of The Killers, Eric Marienthal, and Cee Lo Green for the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. He has also collaborated with famed percussionists Michito Sanchez, Pepe Jimenez, Christian Tamburr, Bernie Dresel, and Kurt Rasmussen.

The Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts is located at Ocean County College, College Drive, Toms River, NJ. Tickets are available at www.grunincenter.org.
