(EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ) -- New Jersey continues to maintain an active presence in The Walking Dead franchise with the release of the limited series, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, which aired on February 28, 2024. Audiences recently caught a sneak preview of this spinoff during the halftime of Super Bowl LVIII. The project was supported by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority's (NJEDA) Film and Digital Media Tax Credit program.

"Shaq's Garage" Series Debuts Across All Kartoon Channel!

(BEVERLY HILLS, CA) -- Kartoon Studios, (NYSE American: TOON) announced on July 10, 2023 that the broad debut of "Shaq’s Garage," starring and executive produced by the legendary Shaquille O'Neal, across Kartoon Channel! platforms, following its successful exclusive premiere on Pluto TV throughout June.

New "Walking Dead" Spinoff Shot Throughout New Jersey

​​​​​​​(NEWARK, NJ) -- AMC's The Walking Dead franchise has expanded its universe to New Jersey for its upcoming series, The Walking Dead: Dead City. The show is the fourth spinoff in The Walking Dead universe and will follow Maggie and Negan as they explore a postapocalyptic New York City cut off from the mainland. Eli Jorné, who wrote and co-executive produced the original series, serves as the showrunner, while Scott M. Gimple, chief content officer of The Walking Dead franchise, oversaw the series. The six-episode season will premiere on Sunday, June 18 at 9:00pm on AMC and AMC+.

Stockton Professors Featured in National Geographic TV Episode of "Drain the Oceans"

(GALLOWAY, NJ) -- Stockton University's Marine Field Station and one of its boats were transformed into a film set over the summer while university experts were filmed for an episode of National Geographic TV's "Drain the Oceans.

AfroBeats Unscripted Scheduled to Launch in March

(KEARNY, NJ) -- AfroBeats Unscripted is a tri-state-based AfroBeats talk show taking place and filmed in Kearny, New Jersey dedicated to using its platform to spotlight the next-generation leaders and talents of our African diaspora and educate the diaspora of current events, trends, and issues within our culture of today. NJ PBS Announces New Kwanzaa Special, Karamu, Feast for the 7th Day

(FAIR HAVEN, NJ) -- NJ PBS announced that a new local Kwanzaa special, Karamu, Feast for the 7th Day, will premiere Wednesday, December 28 at 8:30pm on NJ PBS, with several encores including Thursday, December 29 at 10:30pm (check local listings). Stream it on the MyNJPBS.org website after the broadcast.
