(EWING TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- New Jersey Foundation for Artistry & Ballet (NJFAB) is a newly formed charitable organization whose mission is to provide aspiring young artists from all backgrounds a premier education in classical dance. NJFAB will offer scholarship opportunities, live performances, and educational outreach programs. The organization is committed to bringing the best of the world of ballet to New Jersey by hosting internationally renowned guest performers and dance educators.
NJFAB’s first event is a Gala Performance and Reception on June 1, 2019 at 4:00pm. The “Black and White” Gala Performance takes place at Villa Victoria Academy (376 W Upper Ferry Road in Ewing Township) and will showcase award-winning pre-professional dancers from Ballet Central NJ performing Harald Lander’s classical masterpiece “Etudes” and Alexander Dutko’s new contemporary work “Six.”
The Gala Performance also features guest artists Gabriela Mesa and Fabian Morales of Dimensions Dance Theater of Miami in Gerald Arpino’s “Light Rain.”
Additionally, Gala Performance attendees will be delighted by Ana Sophia Scheller, former principal dancer at New York City Ballet and current principal dancer at San Francisco Ballet. She will be partnered by Nicolai Gorodiskii, also from San Francisco Ballet, in a pas de deux from “Le Corsaire.”
Following the performance is a Gala Reception at The Boathouse at Mercer Lake (334 South Post Road in West Windsor), which will include a cocktail hour, open bar with signature cocktails, a “farm to table” three-course sit down dinner, dancing, and silent auction.
