Morris County Pride 2021 Outdoor Festival To Take Place June 26

originally published: 03/31/2021

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- The Morris County PRIDE 2021 outdoor festival will take place on Saturday, June 26th from 11:00am to 3:00pm on the grounds of the Morris Museum. Tickets are available now for $5 per person (children under 10 are free); tickets at the door will cost $8 per person.

Cara Parmigiani, lead organizer and founder of the Morris County Democratic LGBTQA+ Caucus, says, “We’re so excited that we’ve found a perfect venue that allows us to celebrate safely together this June.” Sean Dorsa of EDGE NJ, one of PRIDE’s co-lead organizers, agrees, “We’re planning an incredible day for the community with entertainment, vendors, music, and great food that the whole family will enjoy.”

Morris County PRIDE continues to seek sponsors and vendors for the event. Email s.dorsa@edgenj.org for full details and deadlines. “This is a perfect opportunity for your business or non-profit to engage with, and show support for, the LGBTQ+ community in Morris County,” says Parmiagiani. She adds, “Sponsor support helps us keep the price affordable to our whole community. We’re so grateful to all of our new and returning sponsors.”

The event is also still looking for volunteers to help work the event and help with the event planning. Says Dorsa, “We have already had so many members of the community step-up to offer their time and talent, and we welcome anyone interested in joining us to get involved.” Those interested in volunteering can also email s.dorsa@edgenj.org.

To stay up-to-date on the plans for Morris County Pride 2021, visit their website and follow them on Facebook and Instagram. “In the lead up to the event we’ll be announcing special guests, musicians, entertainers, vendors, and additional volunteer opportunities,” says Parmigiani, “The MC Pride steering committee is hard at work making sure we have a brilliant day.”

Steering Committee members include: Sean Dorsa, Special Events Coordinator, EDGE New Jersey; Cara Parmigiani, Law Office of Cara A. Parmigiani; Marie Cottrell, Director, Marketing and Operations, Argentino Fiore Law & Advocacy; Simone Kraus, Vice President, TriVersity LGBTQ+ Center of Mildford, PA; Fern Wolkin, Community Outreach Lead, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America; Theresa Piliero, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America; Theresa Markila, Co-Founder of Mutual Morris; Rachel Barry, Tuesday Magic Marketing.
