(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Fight for your Right to Potty Volume 2 will take place on Saturday, April 22 at Paradise in Asbury Park, NJ. The event features music by Rick Barry, Geena and Dragster, and a special appearance by Asbury Park Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn. Tickets are $8 in advance and $12 at the door. A full 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Transyouth Project.
"Approximately two transgender people are murdered every month in this country, and countless more are victims of violent hate crimes," explained Jess Alaimo, the host and creator of the event. "The TransYouth Project funds research to directly benefit children with gender identity issues and let them grow up in a world that is more trans-friendly. This will help the world eradicate some of these violent statistics. We are coming together at Paradise nightclub to help make sure no child has to grow up living in fear. They deserve better."
On a lighter note, Alaimo adds, "Fight for your Right to Potty is the party of the year! And it's for a great cause! Attendees will be treated to live music, dancing, and contests with awesome prizes generously donated by The Stone Pony and The Bouncing Souls. 100% of proceeds go to the TransYouth Project, so not only do you get to see Rick Barry and Geena And Dragster live at Paradise, the number one nightclub in New Jersey, you also are truly supporting an amazing cause."
The event is scheduled to run from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. Paradise is located at 101 Asbury Avenue in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
