The Newton Theatre Presents Jonny Lang
(NEWTON, NJ) -- It is hard to believe that at 36 years old Jonny Lang has already had a successful career for two decades. It's easier to believe when you learn he released his first platinum record at 15—an age when many young people are just beginning to play music. Lie to Me revealed a talent that transcended the crop of blues prodigies floating around in the late Nineties. No flashy re-hasher of classic blues licks, even at that early age Lang was a full-blown artist with a style of his own.

Monmouth County hosts Nature On The Move
(MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- On Thursday, September 19, from 6:00pm-9:00pm the Friends of the Monmouth County Parks are raising a glass to toast Nature On The Move, a celebration of the Monmouth County Park System. Held at the Tatum Park Holland Activity Center, 204 Holland Road, Middletown, guests will enjoy hors d'oeuvres, light bites, premium wines, locally distilled spirits, and NJ craft beers.

"A Night With Janis Joplin" Comes To MPAC
(MORRISTOWN, NJ) --  The Tony(R) Award-nominated Broadway musical A Night With Janis Joplin rocks Mayo Performing Arts Center on Thursday, September 19 at 8:00pm. The musical is created, written and directed by Randy Johnson. Tickets range from $39-$79.

JCTC Presents Jersey City Slam's Grand Open Mic
(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Poetry takes center stage at Merseles Studios when Jersey City Theater Center (JCTC) presents Jersey City Slam’s Grand Open Mic. A decade-old Hudson County literary tradition, the Grand Open Mic is Jersey City Slam’s signature “open mic” show, where new and established poets, spoken-word artists, and other writer/performers gain new audiences by reading their work to the public.  Grand Open Mic takes place September 19 at the black box theater in Merseles Studios in Jersey City. Doors open at 6:00pm, Show: is at 7:00pm.
