Algonquin's Performing Arts Academy Opens Online Summer Session

(MANASQUAN, NJ) -- Algonquin Arts Theatre’s Performing Arts Academy begins its 2020 summer session next month with a lineup of 22 different online classes for students ages 8 to 17.  Classes begin on Monday, July 6 and continue through the week of August 10. New classes start each Monday during that time with one or two-week classes.

A variety of acting and musical theatre classes are available and are all appropriate for beginners and experienced performers alike.

Topics covered in the 22 classes being offered include acting, voice acting, monologues, auditioning, musical theatre, dance and writing. Many classes will work toward creating a final video presentation that can be shared with family & friends.

Classes cost $65 per week, begin at 9:00am, 10:45am or 1:00pm. All classes meet daily for 90 minutes.

Classes will be limited to 12 screens per class to provide the best experience possible, which means that the most popular classes will fill up quickly.

To learn more and enroll online, a full class listing can be found at algonquinarts.org or by calling 732-528-9211. Enrollment will be open for each class until two hours before the class begins, or until the class fills to capacity.

Any families interested in taking the class but cannot afford tuition should call 732-528-9211 or email boxoffice@algonquinarts.org for information on financial aid for these classes.

Teaching artists for this session include Ali Gleason, Frank Falisi, Nicole Clark, Sheryl Linfante, Luke Pearlberg, Kathleen Pearlberg and Pamela Ward.

The Algonquin's Performing Arts Academy is presented with support from Broadway Ray, PNC Bank and The New Jersey State Council of the Arts.
