Two River Theater Presents Benefit Online Reading Of "The Hombres" On August 19

(RED BANK, NJ) -- Originally scheduled to have its run at Two River Theater in April of 2020, the cast of The Hombres will reunite for a reading of their much-anticipated world premiere production, which has been postponed to a future season due to COVID-19.  The play by Tony Meneses will have an online play reading with a Q&A on Wednesday, August 19 at 7:00pm.  Tickets are $25.  The reading is directed by Annie Tippe and stars Frankie Alvarez, Victor Cruz, Gerardo Rodriguez, Jon Rua, and AJ Shively. 


Theater League To Present "Showtune" Revue Under The Stars In Clifton

(CLIFTON, NJ) -- The Theater League of Clifton will present “Showtune,” a revue of music by Broadway legend Jerry Herman, on Saturday, September 12 at 7:00pm. The outdoor, live performance will take place in front of the recently renovated Vanderhoef-Westervelt House in Weasel Brook Park (770 Park Drive, Clifton - adjacent to Paulison Avenue).  Audience members will be invited to sit on the lawn below the historic house.

Youth Orchestra of Central Jersey and Princeton Symphony Orchestra Announce New Partnership

(PRINCETON, NJ) --  The Youth Orchestra of Central Jersey (YOCJ) and the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) have announced a new partnership to advance excellence in orchestral performance and foster a greater connection between Central Jersey’s young musicians and their professional counterparts. Integral to the partnership, the PSO is expanding its assistant conductor position to include leadership of the youth orchestra’s Symphonic Orchestra. YOCJ’s beloved Symphonic Director John Enz is retiring after 35 years and the current PSO assistant conductor, Nell Flanders, will take over the baton with immediate effect. The partnership is the formalization of an ongoing relationship established through the PSO’s BRAVO! Education Program which encourages young musicians and their families to be exposed to extensive performance repertoire and be inspired by professional artists.
