NJPAC Presents Mystic India: The World Tour On September 18

(NEWARK, NJ) --  Mystic India is an internationally acclaimed Bollywood dance spectacular based on the concept of ancient India’s transition into modern India.  The show features renowned musicians, brilliant dancers, breathtaking aerialists and acrobats, and 750 opulent costumes. After performing to sold-out audiences across the world, Mystic India: The World Tour comes to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center’s Prudential Hall in Newark, NJ on September 18.  Tickets range from $25-$99.

Founder and Director of Mystic India, Amit Shah, said, “We are so honored to be bringing Mystic India: The World Tour back to NJPAC. We have travelled to four continents and performed for over 200,000 people. When I first created the show, I wanted to spread our love for Indian culture around the world and represent India in the most accurate way. My goal was to change the way Bollywood dance was represented on the international platform, as its being commercialized and losing authenticity. I am proud of our diverse cast for being such genuine ambassadors of Indian culture.”

Mystic India, which first debuted in New Jersey in 2014, will bring an explosion of color and culture and embark on a journey through various regions of India and culminate with a celebration of the Bollywood film industry. The show’s concept is to demonstrate India’s transition from ancient to modern times via a creative journey through dance.

During the past year, the cast and crew have worked to bring a new dimension to the show by creating custom live music pieces and newly designed visually stunning sets. Additionally, for the first time, Mystic India, will also be selling their album at the performances.

The team of diverse, impeccably trained dancers combine authentic Indian and modern techniques bringing the streets of Mumbai and New York into perfect harmony. Musicians and acrobats join a team of 60 dancers to create a global spectacle.

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) is located at One Center Street in Newark, NJ.  For more information visit www.njpac.org
