(OCEANVILLE, NJ) -- The Noyes Museum of Art of Stockton University is offering Painting with Soft Pastels with Rae Smith on Saturday, July 18, from 10:30am – 2:30pm. This is a unique opportunity to take a class with Rae Smith, who was awarded the title of Master Pastelist by the Pastel Society of America.
Come spend the day in this soft pastel workshop and develop your own joy of painting from a photo of your choice. You will learn how to use your photo as a link into your own vision. We will discuss good design and composition. Smith, a Master Pastelist and 2014 Hall of Fame Honoree of the Pastel Society of America, has won many awards for her landscape, seascape and pond paintings. She teaches classes at the Katonah Center for the Arts in Katonah, NY and is represented by Accent Gallery in Ocean City, NJ. The Noyes Museum of Art was founded in Oceanville, NJ, in 1983 to collect, preserve, and exhibit American fine and folk art, with an emphasis on New Jersey artists and folk art forms.
