Earthquake is a comedian and WBLS on-air personality that will make you Laugh! Expect guest comedians and friends to be announced for this very special Father’s Day Celebration at NJPAC on Sunday, June 21st at 7PM.
Earthquake performed a half-hour HBO special as part of the series One Night Stand,. He also had a small role in Kevin Smith's film Clerks II, and a supporting role in the film The Longshots. He had a recurring role as Chris’ Uncle Mike, on Everybody Hates Chris. He voiced Root the Rooster in the 2006 CGI film, Barnyard and in the video game of the same title, and continues to do so on the TV series spinoff, Back at the Barnyard.
Earthquake was in the U.S. Air Force for nine years and had attained the rank of Sergeant. While stationed at Eglin Air Force Base in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Earthquake would take advantage of an Open Mic Night at the local bar, Top's and Blue's and discovered his comedic destiny on that stage. He refused to be a combatant in the Gulf War and was honorably discharged as a conscientious objector. He was demoted to Airman First Class before his discharge.
Earthquake revealed on The Howard Stern Show that while he was in the U.S. Air Force, he once dropped a live nuclear missile when he was loading it into an aircraft. According to Earthquake, the incident caused much panic and was classified as a Broken Arrow, a situation that alerts a large portion of the military, including the President of the United States. He claimed that he dropped the missile because he was rushing to attend a 2 Live Crew concert.
John Witherspoon
John Witherspoon is a comedian and actor who has had roles in several films and television shows.
Witherspoon is best known for his role as Willie Jones for the Friday series, he has starred in films such as Hollywood Shuffle and Boomerang. He has also made appearances on television shows such as The Wayans Bros. , The Tracy Morgan Show , Barnaby Jones, The Boondocks, and "Black Jesus". He has also written the film From the Old School.
Tommy Davidson
Tommy Davidson is a comedian, film and television actor. Davidson won an amateur stand-up competition at the Apollo Theater in 1987. Davidson's first major exposure came on the variety show In Living Color, where he played various characters, including his impersonations of Sammy Davis, Jr. and Sugar Ray Leonard. He released Illin in Philly, a VHS tape of a stand-up performance, which was aired regularly on Comedy Central, and "On The Strength", another stand-up performance, this time filmed in New York City. He has also appeared in the films Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, Strictly Business, Booty Call and Juwanna Mann. Davidson provided the voice for Oscar Proud, the father in the Disney animated series The Proud Family.
Don "D.C." Curry
Don "D.C." Curry is an actor and stand-up comedian. He is best known for starring in Next Friday and Friday After Next and for his role on the sitcom Grace Under Fire. He also hosted 2013 BET's Comic View.
Smokey Suarez
Born and raised in Harlem, Smokey evolved into an uncompromisingly bold comedian. Smokey has been cast in starring roles for acclaimed Rocafella films, such as “Paper Sodiers,” “Death of The Dynasty” and “State Property 2.” He was also a comedic staple on BET’s “Comic View,” “Russell Simmons Presents: Def Comedy Jam” on HBO, “P. Diddy Presents the Bad Boys of Comedy” on HBO, Bill Bellamy’s “Who’s Got Jokes?” on TV One and BET’s “One Mic Stand.”
Damon Rozier
Damon Rozier is a comedian and writer, known for BET's Comic View. A quadepeligic who raised his children as a single parent, became the number one wheelchair rugby player in NYC, and launched a comedy career on TV.
Ray Dejon
Born in Brooklyn, Ray DeJon’s career as one of New York’s prominent hosts and speakers in the entertainment industry spans over 18 years. Currently, Ray DeJon hosts a popular TV music program, Video Music Box. He has interviewed celebrities in sports, music, television and film such as Stevie Wonder, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Hart, Sean “Puffy” Combs, Jamie Foxx and Alicia Keys to name a few. Prior to Video Music Box, Ray DeJon also hosted Dance Traxx USA, and co-hosted Amateur Night at The Apollo Theater. His long roster includes hosting multiple events such as comedy shows, radio promotions, Black Expo, Harlem week, Funkmaster Flex Custom Car & Bike Show Tour, Off-Broadway play “Loving Him is Killing Me”, Brooklyn Academy of Music and major R&B/Hip-Hop concerts across the country.
