Wednesday, September 25 - Pineland Symphonic Band to Perform at Ocean County Library Toms River Branch. (TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The Ocean County Library is pleased to present a live concert by the Pineland Symphonic Band at the Toms River Branch on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. The popular Whiting-based wind ensemble has performed for Ocean County community groups, retirement communities, civic events and schools for more than 30 years. Its volunteer members include virtuosos from professional symphonies, music teachers and music enthusiasts. Showtime is 7:00pm.

Friday, September 27 - Randy Houser and Justin Moore Announce Tour, Includes Stone Pony Summer Stage Show. (ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Multi PLATINUM-selling country artists Randy Houser and Justin Moore have announced their co-headlining 'Country Round Here Tonight Tour,' playing 12 shows across the South, Northeast and Midwest later this year. The Live Nation-produced tour kicks off in Charlotte, NC and includes a show at the iconic Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park on Friday, September 27, 2024.

Sunday, September 29 - Prudential Center presents Jelly Roll with Warren Zeiders and Alexandra Kay. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Multi-genre hit making entertainer Jelly Roll will bring his Beautifully Broken Tour 2024 to the Prudential Center in Newark on Sunday, September 29, 2024. TD James Moody Jazz Festival: Pianist George Cables

In 1976, tenor saxophonist Dexter Gordon made a triumphant return to the United States after spending 14 years living in Copenhagen. He quickly established a working quartet with George Cables on piano, Rufus Reid on bass, and Eddie Gladden on drums. Cables, who will turn 81 on November 14, believes being hired by Gordon was a pivotal point in his career. "Up until that time," he said, "I was spending a lot of time with the electric piano and with other keyboards -- clavinet, synthesizer, and the like. With Dexter, for me, it was rediscovering the piano."
