(HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- The Ritz Theatre Company presents Falsettos from January 14-23. The hilarious, heartbreaking, and utterly unique, musical was written by William Finn and James Lapine. Falsettos revolves around the life of a charming, intelligent, neurotic gay man named Marvin, his wife, lover, about-to-be-Bar-Mitzvahed son, their psychiatrist, and the lesbians next door.
The play is a hilarious and achingly poignant look at the infinite possibilities that make up a modern family... and a beautiful reminder that love can tell a million stories. The Ritz production is directed by Al Fuchs with musical direction by André Vermeulen.
The cast includes: John Baccaro as Marvin; Craig Hutchings as Mendel; Erica Harr as Trina; Thomas Smith as Whizzer; Corey Apelt as Jason; Missy O'Brien as Dr. Charlotte; and Jodi O'Connor as Cordelia.
Tickets are $27 and available for purchase online. Ritz Theatre Company is located at 915 White Horse Pike in Haddon Township, New Jersey.
Falsettos premiered on Broadway in 1992 and was nominated for seven Tony Awards, winning those for Best Book and Best Original Score. It was revived on Broadway in 2016.
Under the updated policy, effective January 14th, all audience members ages 5 and up will be required to show proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 when entering The Ritz. Exceptions will be made for unvaccinated individuals who bring ONE of the following documents upon arriving at the theater: A negative COVID-19 PCR test performed by a medical provider within 72 hours of the performance start time. The test results must clearly show the date and time of the test OR a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance start time. The test results must clearly show the date and time of the test. Children under the age of 5 are exempt from the aforementioned vaccination/test result requirements, but must wear masks while inside the building.
In addition, beginning February 1st, all Ritz actors, production artisans, and staff members will be required to provide proof of having received an approved COVID-19 booster shot.
