I've been a writer since the 1990s. I guess you could say I've put my English degree to good use. Some of the publications I've worked for include Jersey Arts, NJ Webguide, Family Guides of NJ, Princeton Magazine, Fleet Executive, FLEET Solutions,, and a pair of my own - Upstage Magazine and my current publication, New Jersey Stage. I've also had articles run in publications like Backstreets and Elmore Magazine.

I met my wife, Sherry, while attending Lynchburg College in Virginia. She was a local. I brought her back to Jersey. We've been living in Belmar ever since. Much of the time with a dog... or two. She is a professor at a local university, which used to be a college. Our school has since become a university as well, but it'll always be Lynchburg College to us.

Outside of a five year stretch when I covered the fleet automotive business, I've covered the arts exclusively. My specialty is with music and theatre, but I have done pieces on art, film, comedy, and dance as well. In addition to magazine and website articles, I have published two books - Beyond the Palace (published in 2003) and Are You Listening? The Top 100 Albums by New Jersey Artists from 2001-2010 (published in 2011).

I created and run the website New Jersey Stage and the music site, The Penguin Rocks. I'm hoping to get back to putting radio shows together and they will be listed here.

My goal with this site is to have a single place with easy access to my collective work - sort of a "this is your life" kind of thing. My career and life changed in 2015 when I was diagnosed with Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. Thankfully, I'm still able to run New Jersey Stage each day. It gives me a sense of purpose and helps me fight the MS.

Much of my career has been spent talking with artists who were new or up-and-coming, but I have interviewed many big names as well. My articles section links to pieces on people who have won Grammys, Tonys, Oscars, and more. I don't usually look back, so creating this site was kind of fun.
