(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- GRAMMY® Award-nominated songwriter, producer, and guitarist extraordinaire Cory Wong continues his ongoing run of all-star collaborations with “Call Me Wild (feat. dodie),” available everywhere now. Wong's tour comes to Asbury Park on September 16th as part of the Sea Hear Now Festival and the Lincoln Center David Geffen Hall in New York City on November 28, 2023.

“dodie is one of my favorite singer-songwriters of our generation,” says Cory Wong. “She pours out who she is into her music and she is transparent and relatable with who she is as a person. It’s so rare to see someone reinvent themselves time and time again but absolutely crush it every time. I first became familiar with dodie because of YouTube, and then really dove into her artistry and music, and she recently started a band with some of her collaborators called Fizz that I am DIGGING!

“Some people just have the ‘it’ factor when it comes to creativity and expressing the feelings and vibe of the world around them. dodie is one of those artists! Sometimes it’s serious and somber, and other times it’s fun and light. dodie and I have talked about collaborating on something for a long time. We both wanted to write and record something that felt like it really felt like it was true to we are as individuals, but something that we would potentially never write on our own. That’s the thing I love the most about collaboration. I love being able to help create a playground where a collaborating artist can be themselves, but also explore a different space that they might not do on their own album. I think collaboration brings about a certain creative freedom that allows for new discovery, and I’m so excited with how things turned out with the collaboration we did on ‘Call Me Wild.’”

“Call Me Wild” marks the latest single from Wong’s upcoming new studio album, The Lucky One, which gets released on August 18th.  The collection – which also includes such recently released tracks as “Look At Me (Feat. Allen Stone),” “Ready (Feat. Ben Rector),” “The Grid Generation (Feat. Louis Cole)“ and “Hiding on the Moon (Feat. O.A.R.),”  the latter joined by an official music video streaming now at YouTube – expertly showcases Wong’s constantly evolving creative chops as producer, guitarist, and songwriter as well as his irrepressible belief in the power of collaboration.

“I like mixing it up,” Wong says, “and it informed the way I wanted to approach making this album. At this point in my creative journey, I’m constantly trying to find ways to challenge myself and make myself better. I worked with great co-writers and collaborators that kept me honest and pushed me to be better than ever while making this album. I feel like I’m at an era in my life where I’ve been more creatively charged than ever, and I’m constantly inspired by getting to make music and travel the world with my friends playing music. It’s a gift and I truly am ‘The Lucky One.’”
