The next production of the Somerset Valley Players, Hillsborough’s award-winning, nonprofit community theatre, is the thriller, Wait Until Dark, opening on Friday, October 19. Directed by Holly J. Kowalenko, Wait Until Dark, by Frederick Knott, is a suspenseful drama about a blind woman terrorized by a sadistic criminal and his ex-con accomplices. The play premiered on Broadway in 1966 and was adapted into a hit film starring Audrey Hepburn in 1967. Wait Until Dark is produced by Ed Hayden and the stage manager is Shannen Rivers. The show is sponsored by State Line Aviation, LLC. Wait Until Dark runs weekends October 19 – November 4 at the Somerset Valley Players theater on 689 Amwell Road (Rout 514) in Hillsborough. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 8 p.m. Sunday matinees start at 2 p.m. The theater is air conditioned, barrier free and wheelchair accessible.
