Over 60 pieces of art created by 14 New Jersey artists will be on the auction block at the NO Starving Artists Auction #2. It is being organized by Ellen Martin, and the Jersey Artist Registry as a benefit for the artists. The auction is a terrific opportunity for collectors, art lovers and gallery owners to easily view a large number of works, and to not only meet dedicated groups of artists, but perhaps to even acquire an original painting or photograph directly from one of them. “If you’re looking for a special gift, or just need a special piece for a room in your house, this is the place to be,” says Martin. There will be over 60 pieces on the block, including paintings in oil, acrylic, and cold wax; photography in both color, and black and white; wood mosaic wall sculptures and monotypes. The artists are: Tim Aanensen, Marilyn Baldi, Dawn DiCicco, Shoshana Kertesz, Colleen Lineberry, Carol Magnatta, Ellen Martin, Amy Puccio, Stacey As Pritchard, Jane Proulx, Sharon Sayegh, Linda Schwartz, Sandy Taylor and Karen Starrett. Many of these artists are recognized, award-winning artists. The preview of the art will be from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., and the auction will be from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. The Hotel Tides is located at 408 7th Avenue in Asbury Park. There is free street parking, and there will be a cash bar for food and drink. This is a free event and the public is invited.
