Since his first appearance on The Tonight Show in 1981, comic mastermind Jerry Seinfeld has become an entertainment icon, the co-creator of Seinfeld – arguably the most successful comedy series in the history of television – and one of the most distinctive stand-up performers in the world.
Seinfeld ran on NBC for nine seasons, winning a slew of Emmy, Golden Globe and People’s Choice awards, and was named the greatest television show of all time in 2009 by TV Guide. Along the way, Seinfeld has also starred in, written and produced movies (Comedian, Bee Movie), directed and produced a Broadway hit (Colin Quinn: Long Story Short), and written a best-selling book (Seinlanguage) as well as a successful children’s book (Halloween).
Seinfeld’s most recent project is the critically acclaimed Netflix web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, which has garnered well over 10 million views. The New York Times described the series as “impressively complex and artful,” while Variety called it “a game changer.”
